Not everything went right this week!

I should have known things would go wrong this week when a guardian angel at the back door fell off the hook and smashed my bread crock of 40 years. The angel was unharmed!

For the first time in 9 months I missed my dead-line (self imposed) for this blog.

And I also missed our International committee's wine tasting evening as I had already committed to representing our club at Bingley's Charter evening at Bradford and Bingley rugby club.

The rest of the week went rather better.

Carol and Bob went to the Rotary grant training season for the club so we can apply for grants this year.

John Ellis and I had a new experience together. We took part in an international Rotary 'Webinar' from Chicago on understanding the needs of young people and how they might be attracted to Rotary. A fascinating seminar with some very good ideas for us to take back to the membership team. I would encourage everyone to try some of the other webinars on offer.

And finally a huge curry meal at Shimla Spice in Shipley organised by Sandra and Ron with the help of Breeda Barry benefitting The Ear trust. Very well attended and enjoyed.

And the week just kept getting better when we welcomed two potential new members to our meeting today.

Maybe that angel was telling me to slow down!
