  • Dales walk in aid of Bradford Cancer Crocus Appeal

This was a very pleasurable walk, organized by the Roptary Club of Bradford.

Four from Bradford West (3 “members” and 1 “friend”) supported this.

Judy and Tony did 7 miles

Anne and Richard did the full 17 miles.

The day was fine but started with swirling mist and not too warm as we all left Kettlewell.

AnnE and Richard shot off quickly – too quickly, ignoring instructions which advised them NOT TO CONTINUE UP THE VERY STEEP HILL but they were delighted to find themselves above the mist with a fantastic view!

Judy and Tony attached themselves to some 5 slow walkers and had a lovely walk on the Dales Way to Grassington.

The sun eventually came out and we had blue skies, puffy white clouds – a gorgeous day for walking.

AnnE and Richard hobbled in to Bolton Abbey to enjoy a cream tea with Chris and Maisie who had come to pick us up – literally, as it was extremely difficult to get out of the chairs after the rest!

Thank you to everyone who sponsored us for such a good cause. About £2400 was raised.
