  • The seeds have been planted

This week I have been reviewing my Presidential year as I have to write a report to present to the club.

This weekend I spent with family at Centre Parcs near Penrith where we had the great delight of seeing red squirrels up close and learning about their way of life.

We were told that they often buried pine cones prior to winter, often forgetting where so they are able to take root and grow into new trees in the forest.

So I am hoping that, like the pine cone seeds, some of the ideas we have had and the new things we have tried this year will take root and flourish, alongside all the established great work our club already does.

My wish is that what we have achieved this year will continue to grow, carefully nurtured by our new President, Robert.
